So this is me
Hi, I am Ces and I am a full time software developer, a Christchurch wedding photographer and wedding painter.

I am an introvert. I don't infuse another personality just for you to book me. If you don't want an introvert - I am not the photographer for you - and that's perfectly OK!
​
A brief background about me, I am a proud dad to an 8 year old daughter and a husband to a loving wife.
​
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and work as a full-time software developer. However, photography is purely fun for me, and I enjoy doing it in my spare time. When I say "fun," I mean that I offer affordable photography services as a way to pursue my creative interests and capture meaningful moments for others.
​
My photography started as a hobby back in 2009. I have been photographing landscapes, portraits of families, friends, and sports activities since then.
​
In September 2017, a colleague inquired if I had any experience with maternity photo shoots. I replied affirmatively and shared that I had previously photographed my wife during her pregnancy with our daughter in 2014. This colleague then asked if I could take her maternity photos as well, which I gladly did. Shortly thereafter, she referred another colleague who was also interested in a maternity photo shoot. This experience inspired me to expand my photography portfolio to include portraits and events. From October to December 30, 2017, I offered complimentary photo sessions to families, expectant mothers, and engaged couples as a means of building my portfolio.

My technical side involves software development, while my creative side is expressed through photography.
​
Drawing and painting have always been a natural talent of mine since a young age. It seems to run in my family as my dad is skilled at painting portraits and nature, my sister excels at drawing fashion, my younger brother has a talent for drawing cartoon characters as well as portraits, and my youngest sister is an architect. Over the years, I have drawn and painted a vast array of subjects, from comic book superheroes to anime to nature. I even participated in drawing competitions throughout my primary and high school years.

At Ces Photography, I do not hide my pricing. Upfront pricing on the website - so no surprises! This saves you time from wondering whether you can afford my already affordable and great value photography services.

I don't do heavy editing on your photos which makes your photos look unrealistic, unnatural nor fantasy art. My photos are not full of Photoshop effects.

I use professional equipment (used by $5,000 photographers) to deliver top image quality and top of the line lenses which enable me to work in an unobtrusive way specially during wedding ceremonies.
The Platinum Wedding Package includes a Same-Day Slide Show during reception, it lets you see the highlights of your wedding day. It consists of 30-50 photos taken just before the reception. Photos are not limited to your wedding day.

I do not put watermarks on your photos for your enjoyment. Personally, I don't like watermarks on my photos.
​
Photos released to you are in their original resolution.
